As the Lunar New Year approaches and Chinese culture prepares to celebrate the “Year of the Snake”, images of the sneakers that footwear companies created to honor the occasion slowly trickle out. A few days ago we took a look at an Adidas Samba designed especially for the holiday and now today we have a taste of what Nike has cooked up for the festivities.
Never one to miss a celebration, the Beaverton brand is planning to release several sneakers honoring the Chinese New Year, which includes this fresh pair of Nike Dunk Low’s. The sneakers come together with an olive green and light bone color scheme on a leather upper with a touch of emerald green accenting the Swoosh and heel tag. Squiggly red stitching towards the heel of the Swoosh and a faux snakeskin tongue tag add in the needed elements to tie the Dunks into the “Year of the Snake.”
