Following the success of Jae Tips and Colour Plus Co. collaborations, Saucony is releasing its own take on the Matrix by reviving one of the silhouette’s original colorways.
The Matrix is a trail running sneaker that originally released back in the 90s, and at the time one of the more popular pairs was this bright yellow colorway. So Saucony figured why not make one of their first in-line releases an OG favorite. The retro model is not much different than the original. The bright yellow mesh upper with black leather overlays remains untouched. Saucony’s river-inspired logo running up the midfoot, however, has been modified to display a grey-to-white gradient, and the translucent lugs that appeared on the OG’s have been replaced with solid grey to match the rest of the midsole.
The sneakers, priced at $160, are beginning to hit retailers now and should also soon become available through Saucony’s website.
